Avanu Ghazal... Avalu Shayari... is a romantic comedy set in the early '80s. This play is all about Kannada Shayaris, where the protagonist falls in love with a person of similar interest. The play is poetic in nature, giving a pleasant feeling to one and all.

Shakespeare, who is hailed as the father of modern English theatre has left behind a goldmine. Everything starting from his personal belongings, his costume designs and his manuscripts have been sold for millions. In light of such exuberance around the playwright, a thief plans to steal his skull from his grave and auction it. But there arises a peculiar problem - whenever the thief's hand touches the skull, it turns into one of his characters and these characters' narratives takes the play forward. After having invoked four of Shakespeare's greatest plays, the frustrated thief puts the skull back in its place.

TEREGALU:

P. Lankesh wrote his play Teregalu with the intention to depict man’s bad faith. This is Sartrean Bad Faith. Teregalu is a one-act play with characters like Vyakti (Man), and three fellows, Kanthi, Kitti and Vitti. The fun is that the three fellows bear women’s names

Teregalu is an absurd play. It is about man’s quest for self-hood. The play depicts a man in crisis. However, the reasons for his crisis are unknown. Just three people, rascals in look, harass the Man with numerous absurd questions. It is difficult to understand their positions, purposes and attitudes. Their actions appear mysterious. Still, the Man poses differently. First he tells that he was a teacher and the house belongs to him. Later when the three people assault him he makes a speech about his entire life contradicting himself. Even he has his own ego.

This is a modern format of Thenali Ramakrishna. A young fellow whose name is Ram comes to the city from ‘Thenali’ for an IT job and finds a bachelors’ room with three other interesting characters as his roommates. Nidhi, an IPS aspirant, is the neighbor with a very strict father. How this modern Ram connects with the historic Thenali Ramakrishna, his interview with his new boss, Nidhi falling for Ram, is what makes this play filled with laughter.
